When Dead Moon disbanded in 2006, Fred Cole and Kathleen Cole formed Pierced Arrows (in 2007) along with drummer Kelly Halliburton. Continuing from where Dead Moon have stopped, they have released (since now) two 7"s and two full albums.
It seems that they are like a good old whiskey. Maturity brings richer taste. You know there are some older bands and musicians who are disbanded, after a while re-united and then disbanded again (and keeps going)... Release a couple of records, play some shows and stuff where their only purpose is to gain some more money and live some of their past fame.
Well fuck them! These guys have nothing to do with this. They continue to offer us some fine pieces of dark, heavy garage punk played with passion and energy. And here you'll find some of the coolest tightest grooviest bass lines out there. Both their albums (as well as their 7"s) are equal awesome to me. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you like some garage punk for the summer, just check them out. If you are into Dead Moon's stuff, just check them out. If you don't know who Dead Moon are, just make your self a favor and dig them. Cheers!
